Approach & Goals
Since 1989, Javier León has served churches all over Latin America. Over this time, experience has provided him unique situational skills and approaches that he brings to his ministry. Time has also taught him that, “his big idea is to start small and see where God takes it.”
In practical, day-to-day terms, Javier’s launch and growth plan includes:
- Establishing and building upon relationships with people and churches in Latin America that want to participate in the process of The International Center for Christian Leadership.
- Identifying preachers in Latin American churches (many preachers desire and need help, new resources, ideas, and leadership to help guide, lead and support the congregation).
- Targeting young adults in their 20’s and 30’s (the future of the Church)
- Developing conversations and partnerships with:
– Bible Institutes (ie. the World Bible School)
– Preaching Schools
– Christian Colleges and Universities
– National youth gatherings
- Building expertise, a team, awareness and resources.
Javier’s Goals Include:
- Continue subject-specific instruction in congregations where currently serving.
- Establish leadership training in at least 25 congregations.
- Help at least 10 congregations start an eldership selection process.
- Continue to develop resources to better enable churches to teach the Bible to all ages.
- Develop an Online / Mobile Platform and Application that will generate and drive traffic for those seeking help and resources.
- Develop robust and dynamic content that meets needs and establishes the site and application as a fundamental and valuable resource so that congregations can equip their people to grow and serve in all areas and for all ages.
